If you haven’t heard about affiliate marketing before then you’re in for a surprise. Affiliate marketing is a way to earn commissions from promoting someone else product. Fifth, when you do make a sale it’s generally a one-off commission to you, with no future linking of the prospect to you.
The usual marketing system has been something like this:-
Research a niche
Find a product
Buy a domain name ($)
Buy web hosting ($$)
Write sales copy and create a video to complement the product
Develop a “free bonus” to entice buyers
Buy an auto-responder service ($$$)
Set up your website and place the copy on a squeeze page (also called an opt-in page) and place the auto-responder code on it.
Develop an auto-responder email series
Write and set up a “Sales Page” with your affiliate links
Write and Set up a “Thank You” page
Set up and pay for a Pay Per Click campaign to get traffic to your new site ($$$$)
Implement other traffic strategies like social media, article marketing, forum and email etc.
Unless you have a lot of knowledge (technical, copywriting skills etc) this path can be long and arduous, not to mention expensive. Not all the cost is actual money out of your pocket, don’t forget the cost of your time and loss of opportunity.
The internet marketing gurus have been selling their courses primarily based on this business model.
